Detox Latte + Tumeric Bullet Proof

This little post is a two for one combo!

These two heart warming drinks really helped get me through that Food MAtters 7 Day Cleanse, they were the perfect little accompaniments in between smoothies both morning and night.

So in celebration of finishing this cleanse I wanted to share these with you all!

Detox Latte
The creators at Food Matters are straight up genius when it comes to recipe creations. Never would have I thought to use a tea, protein powder and coconut oil to turn this combo into a creamy sweet latte!
It’s now my coffee replacement in the mornings and I could not be more grateful.

What You Need.
1 tea bag of a Detox Tea (caffeine free)
1 scoop Protein Powder of choice
3/4 cup Almond Mylk (or Nut Mylk of choice)
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 Date, pitted

What You Do.
Boil the kettle, and steep your detox teabag in half a mug of boiling water for 3 minutes
Once steeped place tea, protein, almond mylk, coconut oil, date and cinnamon in your blend and blend on high from 20-30 seconds.
You’ll see how the protein powder and coconut oil turns this combo into a creamy, frothy dream!
Pour into your mug, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!

Turmeric Bullet Proof
This little gem of a drink I usually pick up from my favourite paleo cafe “Seedling” located in Melbourne’s CBD, so if you are around, swing by and grab a bite to eat there!
Turmeric is super good for aiding inflammation, aiding arthritic pain and has been associated with aiding and managing depression like symptoms and feelings.
It’s literally a cup of gold and full of heart healthy fats!

What You Need.
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Maca Powder
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 Tsp Grass fed Organic Butter
Sweetener of choice: 1 pitted date, 1 tsp of honey, or 1 tsp Pure Maple Syrup

What You Do.
Boil your kettle and in a mug combine the Turmeric and Maca powder.
Pour in your boiling water to fill 1/4 of your mug and stir quickly!
Place the butter, coconut oil, sweetener and your mug mixture into your blend and blend on high for 20 -30 seconds.
pour back into your mug, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!
