The base ingredient for this little dessert slice is tahini. Unhulled to be specific!
Using Unhulled tahini in your recipes means the ground sesame seed from which the paste is made from, still has all its nutritional value intact!
Tahini is also a good way of adding in extra protein to each meal or snack.
What You Need.
4 generous tbsp of Unhulled Tahini
1 cup pitted dates
1/2 cup natural cashews
A dash of almond milk to blend
What You Do.
Soak your cup of dates in warm water for roughly 10 minutes. This will allow them to soften and blend easily
Place all ingredients (minus the almond milk) into a food processor and blend on high for 3 -4 minutes.
The texture will become crumbly and then begin to firm up.
Add in the almond milk and blend again for another 1-2 minutes.
Scoop out your fudge mixture and place into a lined container or tub. Top with sesame seeds, goji berries, walnuts or whatever else you desire!
Pop your fudge in the freezer to firm up for roughly 30 minutes or so!
Take out, slice up and enjoy!
Note. I melted down some peanut butter for the drizzle on top and an extra flavour hit.
