I love Snickers.
Whether its pods, icecream or the original bar itself!
So when I discovered people who have made the raw & refined sugar version I was jumping for joy. Literally.
After some research (hours spent on pintrest), I have now created my own little take on this delicious snack bar.
And I know the girls at work will love me for it when I bust this bad boy out come Monday. Everyones a winner!
What You Need
1/2 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 Tbsp Tahini
1/2 Almond butter/spread melted
20 chopped and soaked dates
1/2 cup cashews
1 Tbsp Tahini
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 Maple syrup
1/4 warm water
70% or higher dark chocolate
What You Do
Line a small rectangle container with baking paper. Set aside.
Combine base ingredients in a medium sized bowl. Stir through until consistency becomes smooth and thick.
Spoon into your container until the mixture is evenly spread and pushed down. Chill in freezer.
Finely chop both dates and cashews and soak in warm water for roughly 10minutes until they soften.
Place all caramel ingredients into a blender and blend on high until mixture becomes smooth and runny.
Pour into your chilled container and ensure your layers are level for a realistic look.
Place in freezer and chill.
Once your slice has sent, cut into long strips and place on a separate piece of baking tray lined with paper.
Melt your dark chocolate in a small bowl over boiling water.
Dip in your bars to completely coat them.
Place on paper and set back in the freezer.
Take out and enjoy whenever you need a guilt free treat!!
