Deconstructed Sushi Bowl

If you are after something a little different for your lunch prep, Essence of G has you covered!

Welcome to the perfect and quick go to lunch bowl.

I love myself some sushi, but I often get over it super quick. So mixing it up into a bigger and tastier lunch option seemed like a no brainer.

The use of Kimchi is something i strongly reccomend. It often comes spiced and adds a hit of flavour to your bowl. Keep in mind, if you can’t overly handle the hot stuff the avocado is there to save you.

What You Need.

1 serving brown rice
3-4 leaves of Pak Choy / Bok Choy
Small handful of smoked salmon strips
    ** most supermarkets have pre cut salmon pieces which are perfect for this kind of lunch!
1 small avocado
1 Tbsp. Kimchi (fermented cabbage)
      ** you’ll be able to pick up a jar in the Oriental section of your local supermaket.
1 tsp seasame seeds

What You Do.

If you prefer a warmer lunch bowl,  sauté your Pak Choy in a drizzle of coconut oil until soft.
Once cooked, place brown rice in the center of the bowl.
Place in warm Pak Choy around the rice.
Add in sliced avocado.
Slice into small strips the smoked salmon and roll up before placing into the bowl.
Dollop out the kimchi and sprinkle with seasame seeds!
Quick simple and delicious!
